What I'm doing right now: Haven't been doing what I want to do, doing what I don't want, and procrastinating on a lot of things.
Mood: okay

JOB: Self employed
DATING STATUS: Married
RELIGION: Christian - other

MY RATING: 10.00

I do a lot of wire wrapped pendants for the necklaces I create. I mostly like to work with gemstone -- I'm fascinated that all the variety of color comes out of the same ground.

I like science fiction -- watching Star Trek reruns and movies my whole life, action/adventure along the Indiana Jones line

country, southern rock, cont.Christian

I read the Stphanie Plum series ("One for the Money", "Two for the Dough"), some Jayne Ann Krentz/Amanda Quick/Jayne Castle, Sue Grafton ("A is for Alibi", whatever is a good deal at GoodWill

Bead Jam -- my own shop in New London, MN

Reading, coffee with friends, acting in community theatre, my Christian faith, my family: husband, son & cat

Apparantly Housework is high on my dislike list, I dislike extreme Political Correctness (know what I mean? The kind where I'd have to rephrase it that I'm "benevolent challenged toward PC" or something), Reverse Censorship (meaning that some people want free reign to talk about their opinions and beliefs but look down at others for having their own, often more conservative, ideas)

Grew up in a Twin Cities, MN suburb (Apple Valley), went to St.Cloud State University where I got a degree in art (graphic design emphasis), moved to a small town central MN when I got married in 1990. Funny thing was, I had been to this cute little town before ever meetng my husband-to-be at college, I thought it was a great place but no reason that I was going to move from the Minneapolis area to a town the size of my high school. Turned out we had mutual friends and when my husband and I got engaged, I got offered a job up here. I've lived her for over 18 years and really like the small town life: I live, work and shop right in town, almost always walking. Looking back, it seemed like destiny that I move here.

Only my friends can see my activity feed.

Thanks.  I didn't know to look until I saw your comment.  I never saw anything that said when judging ended.  Funny, too, that they haven't e-mailed me, but that's okay. -- Laurel <

Hey Laurel,

I do have some answers for you...you hire my hubby, he is really good at what he does after all of these 30 years.
I wouldn't mind sharing his email with you at all.

Hey, Marie,

I was checking out your clayfactory.net site.  You've got a lot of products.  I have a storefront and web store, also.  I've got to get more serious about an ordering/inventory system.  Any tips you'd like to pass along would be welcome.  Thanks. -- Laurel
