FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE ASKING QUESTIONS
ABOUT MY GRAPHICS

If you would like to see more of the background graphic on this page, hold down your control key and scroll with your mouse up or down. This will make the print smaller and show more of the background. My background is a fractal which was created by ANNE FUGATT on RENDEROSITY at

http://www.Renderosity.com

There are tons of beautiful graphics on the site and a lot of different categories. Obviously my favorite is fractals, abstract and surrealism. Feel free to go there and look around, you may find something you like. If you want to copy one of the graphics click on the graphic, a bigger size of the graphic will appear then right click on the image and choose Save Image As, then select a place on your hard drive. I always rename my images to the title of the image and the author so I will know who to thank if I use the image. This is internet etiquette, you should always give credit to the author. RENDEROSITY also has tutorials.

Another site I use is GLITTER SELECT at

http://www.htmllive.com/glitter_select

here you can type in your word then pick a text type and glitter then create it. Once you have done this all you have to do is right click on the text, save it to your hard drive then if you have a web hosting account such as PHOTOBUCKET (which is free) you can upload the text directly to PHOTOBUCKET. Here is the main link to PHOTOBUCKET

http://photobucket.com/

If you use PHOTOSHOP or PAINT SHOP PRO write me and I will give you links to groups which share tubes, graphics, scrapbooking and more. There are also some wonderful groups for PSP and PS lessons which I also have. I'm telling you I am just a fountain of information.

Or, if you like, here is the direct link to my DELICIOUS account which has all of my bookmarks.

http://delicious.com/Orlff

DELICIOUS is a great place where you can see other peoples bookmarks and if you see one you like you can save it for yourself. DELICIOUS is also free and there is NO LIMIT on how many bookmarks you can keep. I ask you how wonderful is the internet.

Ok everyone here are some online bead buying groups I belong to. They have great discounts. You might want to go to Yahoo Groups and do a search for bead buy groups or check at MSN Groups.

BULK BEAD BUYING - They are not accepting new members right now but probably will be in the near future. They have a bunch of sub-groups but you have to belong to the main group to join any of them.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO KNOW
ABOUT DESIGNING YOUR PAGE

To get to your page click on My Account, Settings, Design My Profile.

You will see [View Profile Layout Guide], click on this and it will bring up another page that will explain what all those items are.

Keep this page open while you design so you can refer back to it.

The first thing you want to do is select your background. Copy an image you like to your hard drive (make sure to put it somewhere you can easily find it again.

Then click on Background Image Change Image and browse to find that image, click on it.

From there it is just a matter of selecting colors. You will have to go back and forth a few times looking at your page to see what it looks like so don't give up. You can also type in your own color codes.

Once you have what you like you are done. Don't forget to save (which is at the bottom of the page) when you change colors.

The easiest way to look at your page is after you save your work click on My Page then when you are done looking right click and choose back and you will be back on the design page.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO KNOW
ABOUT PUTTING GRAPHICS IN YOUR COMMENTS

First you need a picture to insert. I keep my pics in a special directory under pictures. You can name it anything you want just so you can find it when you are searching your hard drive. I named mine Sigs (for signatures). I have different categories for all of my pics (i.e. animals, beauty, people, etc.) then have subdirectories under them (i.e. people - men, women, children).

When you find a picture you want right click on the picture then choose Save Image As. When the directory comes up, navigate to the directory you have created and hit Save.

You will need a PHOTOBUCKET ACCOUNT so you can put the name on the web. Just go to

http://www.Photobucket.com

and register (it is free). You can create albums to keep your stuff in, I would suggest naming the album something that pertains to whatever you are putting in it.

To upload pictures there is a box at the top of the page. Navigate to the Album where you want the pictures to be located. Click on My Computer (which is where your pictures are stored) then click on CHOOSE FILES and a directory will come up.

Navigate to the directory where you have saved the picture(s) and choose it(them). If you want to Upload several files, hold the CTRL KEY down when you click on each file (they will each be highlighted). Click on OPEN.

Now you are ready to use the picture in a message. Keep the tab open to Photobucket, put your cursor over the picture and four options will appear under it. Highlighted in blue is Link options. If you click on this it will explain how to use each option.

For our purposes we will be using Direct Link. Click in the box Direct Link then hit CTRL C (to copy).
Once you have done that go back to your Bead Space page.
Click on the little green tree next to HTML in the message box.
Another box will come up.
Click in the box IMAGE URL then hit CTRL V (to insert the copied image code) then click on Insert.

Volia, now you have a picture in your message.

crowds, loud music in cars near me that shake my windows, loud, rude and obnoxious people, snobs, complainers, heavy traffic, people talking on cell phones while they are driving or walking around in the store

I was born in Youngstown, OH where I attended Monroe Elementary then we moved to Niles when I was 11. My parents had an archery shop and we went archery shooting and skeet shooting every weekend. My dad and I went hunting with our dogs and would hunt for a large variety of game. Some of the game we hunted were deer, bear, wild boar, pheasant, grouse, elk, grizzley bear, and kodiak bear.

My mom got me a horse which I rode throughout high school (sometimes skipping school). I graduated from Niles McKinley High at 17. Being bored with Niles I took off to New York, NY and lived in the lower east side village for a while as a hippie (remember the flower children).

While I was in New York a bunch of my friends and I went to Woodstock which was a great experience. When I got tired of the village I came back home to Youngstown, lived with my dad and then my grandmother. I had a rather short stint at General Motors which bored me to death.

While living with my grandmother I met the boy down the street and we got engaged. My fiance and I went to Cherry Hill, NJ to live for some time then returned to Youngstown and got married (what a big mistake that was).

He was a pharmacy student so we moved to Columbus while he attended Ohio State. I eventually decided marriage wasn't a good choice for me (he wanted children and I didn't), I only lasted 6 months and moved out on my own. I was a very wild child (lots of drugs and drinking).

I worked at mundane jobs for a while and wanted excitement. I went to the fair and decided to join the carnival and travel with them. It was a hoot! I had several jobs, one was being a fire eater, another was working a games booth. We traveled around the country and ended up in Florida where I lost interest in the sideshow and returned to Columbus.

I found a job in Athens managing apartments for the college students at Ohio University. When the job was over I moved back to Columbus. I got bored once again and decided to get in the car and just drive, I ended up in Texas and Mexico with a hurricane coming so I drove east through New Orleans and ended up in Ocala, FL where I worked on a horse farm and drove a semi truck around the country.

I missed Ohio (why I can not tell you) so I decided to move back to Columbus. I got the itch to move again so I decided to move to Dayton, where I bought a house in 1987. I went through numerous jobs, my last being a car saleswoman.

Thanks to my bosses intervention in 1989 I went into treatment for drugs and alcohol and have been sober ever since. It has not been an easy road but it has been worth it. I was a very angry individual and gave everyone a hard time early on but I eventually settled down. God help anyone who currently has issues with any addiction.

For many years I did not talk to my mother. When I got sober I learned she was not going to change and if I wanted to communicate with her I would have to change and handle the situation differently. I currently talk to my mom on a weekly basis (I call her every Sunday whether she wants me to or not). I have learned how not to allow her to push my buttons. Life is very short and I know I will regret it for the rest of my life if I don't communicate with her while she is here. Sometimes it is very difficult to talk to her but I remain calm and don't let my feathers get ruffled. When I behave in such a manner her behavior also changes and we end up having a great conversation.

I found out I have ADHD which is why I get bored so easy and can't focus for very long. (The internet can be a real nightmare) I had a very rough time when I was a kid in school. I came from a very abusive and alcoholic home so I never had the need to succeed (like going to college, becoming a wife & mother, etc.). Besides the schools back then did not have the counselors to deal with issues. I am not blaming my past I am just pointing out why I made some of the ridiculous and irresponsible choices. My family was all about drinking and having fun, even at others expense and they let me run wild.

I have been through several bouts of cancer (starting in 1985) and blood clots (almost died from the clots) but have pulled through and am doing pretty good. I must say things change dramatically as I grow older, I am much more settled (only because I can't get around as well).

I currently live alone with my cats which seems the best way for me. I must have a big red S on my forehead which stands for sucker. There must be a big sign in cat language saying "FREE FOOD HERE". I just can't stand to see an animal go hungry. Most of my cats are rescues and ferals.

I hate crowds and don't play well in the sandbox (maybe because I was an only child). I don't do very well in relationships, maybe because I have always been a free spirit. I don't regret one moment because I lived my life to the fullest and did my best even if I did make a lot of bad decisions.

The way I look at it now, my life has been a truly rich experience full of excitement and daring. So I look back and realize things could have been different but they weren't so I appreciate the things I do have. Yes I miss working (I behave badly) but as I told you before I don't do well playing with others so as long as I keep things superficial I'm ok.

I can communicate with you but not on a regular basis because I am unreliable (remember ADHD). I go in spurts. Hope I haven't scared you away. I will probably add to this as I go along so check back to see the adventures.

I belong to several bead and buying groups online and get great deals through them. I think buying groups are the best way to go if you want to save money. I have shared with you the names of the groups in What I Create. I like to share with others. When we buy from Fire Mountain we get the top discount plus 10%.

Thank you for the input about my mystery beads! I looked at the pictures on Fire Mountain, and they do look a lot like those. The heishi beads seem to be more shiny, though.... I am going to see what others have suggested and if I don't get a better answer, I am going to go with this one! Close enough, right? Thanks again!
