I'm a highschool student on a college campus (early college program), I love reading, and in my (nonexistant) free time I bead!
This semester I am taking Microbiology (+lab) (and loving every minute of it!), Multivariable Calculus (Not so excited anymore. Turned out to be just annoying.), Electricity and Magnetism (physics - insanely hard), English (not too bad - pending 1st exam), AND Political Science (turned out to be fairly intersting...)
I've only been beading since about December '08 but I'm already addicted :-)
I started playing with chain maille in July '09
Dislikes
Bruce food (did you know, if you put enough salt on food it actually becomes ENTIRELY inedible. Carrots taste like orange salt mush, and chicken and dumplings taste like lumps of salt in liquid salt.) Bruce also taught me to avoid fried chicken - they serve theirs with the feathers still attached! (I'm not joking. I have a picture of it around here somewhere...)

Hi - thanks for stopping by my page here on beadspace - thought I'd return the favor & stop by your page. You have some very nice beadwork. hugs, Michel
Oh, My Goodness! Okay, for your 'book list' add Andre Norton. You will have to go to libraries and lurk about. 'When I was a tadpole' I had huge paperback libraries to scur through, so picked up the reading habits of my parents. HUGE SyFy fans! (Note hip new genre title!) EE Doc Smith. Piers Anthony (but DON'T start with Zanth books, read the trilogies first), I will add names as they pop into my aged head. And gee, if you find a plot you remember from a movie.... There You Go! Perfect example, Tom Cruise, Minority Report. (check author credit!!!)
I'm still not convinced Mercedes Lackey is female. (Tough to tell with pointy ears and all.) In this world of instant info, I'm sure I could check, but I've read everything I could get my hands on, too. There is another, who is bobbing around back there, similar but different... ~sigh~
I'm only a few months ahead of you with beading. Started September 08. You have to schedule it in. Or, you can do like I, come home, collapse into favorite chair and announce to family "I AM beading this weekend. OR ELSE." But see, I've got seniority, and can make 'pronoucements' like that and no body snickers or whispers behind their hand, or makes me take out the trash...
Welcome to bead space. Check out my stuff. I'll check out yours. Tell me what you think of my PlayList. ~Cena
oh yeah, on the free time thing, if you ain't got it now honey, (in high school) you can forget ever having it again, LOL It gets worse as you get older. ~sigh~ Dori
