Head pins, ear wires, clasps, jump rings, etc, and bead and wire jewelry and trinkets.

I'll read pretty much anything with print on it.

I'm always looking for something I love that I haven't heard yet. The best kind of music is soft and fast.

Moving to ArtFire, look for me at http://glittercritter.artfire.com

Loving AF because I can lower my prices there and because it doesn't require membership to purchase. If you see something you like in http://glittercritter.etsy.com that isn't listed on AF yet, send me a note and I'll list it for you there. Mention bead-space and get free shipping!

I like my work room and I love the jeweler's bench I got at the R&G auction. I like cats with long hair and tails and big blue eyes, I like gemstones in all their glorious color and texture and especially those with interesting optical properties, chatoyance, schiller, aventurescence, etc.
I have 3 shops on ArtFire now:
bohowirewrapped for wire wrapped jewelry

Complications that aren't of my own making, and some of those that are.

Hi,

I cannot answer your question as to how long it would take to make a bead collar that I have featured in my gallery as I didn't make it.  Someone in Peru in the early 1950's gets that honor.  I know the current owner of it and asked her if I could take pictures of it.  I admire the patience it must have took to make it.

hugs,

Michel

Thank you for your kind comments on my Yei cane. The pattern is an adaptation of a Suzanne Cooper pattern. Yei is actually the abbreviated word for the mythical
holy figure in Navajo mythology known as YeiBeiChei. There are many
Yeis each possessing different healing powers. The female is depicted
with a square head, the male with a round head. It is during healing
ceremonies or .sings" that the Yeis do their most important work. The
medicine man etches images of the Yeis into the sand on the floor of
the sick person's hogan. The ailing individual then sits upon this site
and the illness is drawn out of the body into the sand. The medicine
man removes the illness permanently from the dwelling as he scoops the
sand and tosses it into the four directions of the wind. This cane was done for an elderly gentleman who had broken a hip. At the time I did it I didn't realize the square head represented female healers. I printed the above for him when I delivered the cane and told his wife it was appropriate since she is his primary care giver. This was second of three canes I beaded for him. He has an extensive collection of Native American turquoise, coral and silver jewelry.

Glitter, you have done so much for Soul of Somanya. I am quite sure
we'll never be able to repay you, or even thank you enough. As to using the avatar you
created--are you kidding? It's sooooo much better than the one I'd made
myself! You have a future in banner & avatar design should you
choose to pursue it. Just don't let it stop you from making your
amazing jewelry!

Hi!

Thanks for your comments on my bracelet and ring.  The herringbone wire weave is fun to do.

I found the design for the ring in one of the beading magazines.  It was designed by Karla Schafer from Auntie's Beads, and you can put it together in like five minutes!  I made three... using different color combos.  LOL

Thanks again.  Take care.  Have a beadiful day!
