Hello,

My name is Paula Morgan and I am the new Senior Adminstrator here on Bead-Space.com. Some of you may know me from my former positon as the Beadwork Guide at About.com, where I provided beading related material, patterns, reviews, and more for close to 9 years. In October of this year, I was offered this marvelous oppportunity to create content, to oversee, to help grow and to assist the lovely community here at Bead-Space.com. I am flattered to have been chosen for this position, and am honored, excited and very happy to be here.

Just for a little more in-depth information, you can expect the New Year to bring such regular features as my own Blog, which will be updated daily, if not more often, containing links to material available to our members only. This will include one or more new free bead patterns each week, tons of beading tutorials, spotlight articles on some of our Members, beadwork artist interviews, bead store reviews, introductions to bead makers (with many pictures, of course) bead seller profiles, small, bead-boutique shop reviews, so you can find the coolest and most unusual beads and elements for your beadwork, whether you are a seed beader, a jewelry maker, professional, hobbyist, loom weaver, and we’ll be featuring patterns and projects, tutorials, and help with other types of beadwork, bead and fiber creations, bead making, and even some metal fabrication not requiring the use of a torch. I am even planning a week-long series on How To Solder, as I learn how to do this technique myself. Please say a little prayer for my fingers, thank you.

At the moment, I would like to address the concerns and confusion, questions and issues some of you have written here regarding the Necklace Contest and what is going on, how it works, etc.

So, it is with a bit of embarrasment that I must admit: I don’t have a clue. In fact, I know less about this contest than any of you heremany of you it than many of you folks.

But with that said, now I will say that I am in the process of tracking down the appropriate parties, getting the necessary information, and bringing myself up-to-date on this matter. Chances are, it will be Monday before I have more information or be able to enact whatever changes are necessary to fix this issue.

Meanwhile, please, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE OUTCOME OR STATUS OF THE CONTEST! Bead-Space.com will make right by all of you who worked hard to create pieces for this competition, you have my word on that.

For now, I wish there were more I could say, but being a bit in the dark and not yet even “officially” rigged up with my HyperCharged, Kryptonite-Proof Ultimate Administrative Super-Powers just yet, I can’t.

But I will.
