Hi all, well, I thought i would put a 2 cent idea up here. I do alot of custom pieces and my return customers know to just tell me a color or length and let me go with it. New customers though , I have to really get to know them a little and find out the kind of person they are(sometimes ladies that wear old fashioned pearl studs everyday secretly want long crystal chandeliers but are afraid of others opinions) anyway, I usually start with a favorite color then go to materials, some like natural some like sparkly, it all adds up in the end. I had a mother order a crow pendant with camoflage and brown beads recently, but after a little digging i found out the daughter really was a dainty jewelry type wearer and ended up making the crow a porcelain pendant and the beads small on chain lengths. Still had the crow but much more feminine. I like the freedom to make things theway I want to but also to flabbergast the customer. Most of my business is word of mouth and there are times when i just can’t keep up! My calendar for january is totally full and I haven’t even gotten there yet!!LOL I like to enter contests too, that is another blog entirely!!LOL I am new to this blog thing, so hopefully this makes sense. Anyway, there it is!
