Thanks for the request . I was able to spend one day in San Dieago several years back and loved it. We were visiting family in LA at that time and drove up for the Garden Railroad Convention. We had a small garden railroad at our last home. I should post a picture later.
I live in a small towmn now that has no bead stores and none of my friends bead so I had to learn everything on my own amd I thought this would be a good spot to find beading friends and get tips and inspiration.
Thank you! I really appreciate that. We are taking the kids to Disneyland for the weekend and then there's the holidays. Maybe sometime after the holidays, I think General Bead would be fun. I've haven't been there in a long time

Love your music, your work is pretty awesome, too! Perhaps we should have a chat and meet at Michaels or near there. It is hard to make connections with other beaders... local ones are to be cherished. Perhaps we could decend upon one of the bead shops and take over a table or something. General Bead has the children's area. The 'new' (to me) one I found by Sports Arena has a teaching area...
Thank you for your great comments on my photos. LOL, the fences.... I like the look of the old one, with the ivy and all. But my husband replaced it this summer! At least the new fence has a nice new stain. The new fence is actually taller, so I found myself trying to hold my camera steady while balancing on my tip-toes! I like taking pics outside in the shade. Something about all the indirect sunlight seems to bring out the colors the best.
Thanks, Cena. This piece was actually designed by the Soul of Somanya artisans after I left there. It was their own idea to incorporate the interpretations of the Adinkra symbols we'd come up with into some of the "chains" they were making. This one means "fence," and is used to denote the Safety, Security and Love that comes from home and family. I was so surprised when these pieces showed up at my door. These young artisans are really hitting their stride!
I found it funny that you have an 'imaginary' friend who's real--that cracked me up. As for my work, really, Im just starting out. Im still learning how to do more than just string beads on a wire. Thank you for your sweet message...as soon as I produce something of quality I will definately show you! --Jennifer
I have an 'imaginary' friend that I've met in person in Phoenix that lives in Sunny Suprise!!!!! Wow, small world.
I'm jealous, she posts that she has ripe tomatoes in February. BUT, I know the heat that you guys deal with, also!
Welcome to the site, Love your avatar, hope to see some of your work soon! ~Cena
